Rummana Publishing was born from the desire to help others learn, love and grow.
Our founder, Randa Taftaf, started her own journey learning Arabic with a simple first grade Arabic reading book. With poorly designed books that neglected foreign language education principles, it was incredibly hard for her to learn anything. After becoming an ESL instructor, she was jealous of the quality material that existed to teach English and decided to develop quality Arabic material that would excite people over learning. She vowed to transform the way Arabic was taught and created Rummana Publishing with her husband!
Our company holds an intense passion for supporting authors, parents, teachers and anyone willing to further their language skills. We foster creativity and self-discovery through incredible books that mirror the diversity of our world.
Our Founder’s Story
hough she was born in the U.S., her parents wanted her to learn Arabic. Her struggle to learn inspired her will to create an easier experience for others.
Once she met her wonderful husband Maz, they had their beautiful first-born son, Zayd. Today, they are two Arab-American, fun-loving parents struggling to find entertaining ways to make learning fun for him. Their search for stories that combined education and excitement seemed endless. It was like searching for a needle in the haystack!
Since they couldn’t find a solution, they made one. The two created refreshing stories for children and adults to love, enjoy and cherish forever.
We crave to inspire the entire world.
Rummana Publishing now eagerly serves aspiring writers and turns noteworthy pieces into Arabic, English and bilingual books. Our stories and texts encourage language development, emphasize the value of culture and highlight essential learning methods.
We want to establish a diversified world where everyone loves to learn. Our priority is to turn an ordinary story into a nostalgic educational experience that will last a lifetime. We take immense pride in everything we publish and consider them more than just “language books.” They’re enchanting gateways to exciting and memorable learning experiences. Each one promotes a strong and natural bond between learner, content and parent/teacher.
Whether you want to learn with interactive textbooks or simply enjoy a beautiful picture book, we’ve got you covered. Our beloved books are the kind that you pass down for generations!
We aspire to…
Love to Learn
We strive to make learning the Arabic language interesting, memorable and engaging! Our high-quality materials bridge the gap between cultures through language, knowledge and understanding. We want to educate the world about the Arabic language and culture while creating a meaningful impact on society.
Stand tall and proud
Our aspiration is to empower the minds of today by creating stories and characters that they can relate to. We yearn to increase minority representation by publishing diverse stories with bilingual characters. Rummana has a dream to connect people with other parts of the world, and what better way to do it than through written word?
Connect with the imagination
We want to inspire minorities to explore their creative sides and create their own stories. We believe in the incredible power of the pencil and strive to promote an atmosphere where others crave to put their ideas on paper!
Through our books and services, we hope to be a bridge that connects the east and west, bringing the best of both worlds to the other.

You can’t make your child speak a language. However you can set the stage so they will want to speak it.
